Ozark Housing Outlook For 2007
Well it is a New Year isn’t it?
After a dismal report by NAR for housing in December of 2006, a new Congress and uncertainty in the housing industry sales are surprisingly brisk in the beautiful Missouri Ozarks.
Although it is basically our “Off Peak” sales season properties seem to be closing at a slightly higher pace than normal.
Perhaps this is due to the cost of Missouri real estate being relatively low compared to national averages. That with lower property taxes certainly make Missouri property a bargain.
It could also be that we haven’t felt the effects of the “Real Estate Bubble” that major markets have throughout the country. Our property has experienced steady and sustained property appreciation over the last six years so there never was a “Bubble” per say like it the “Hot” markets that experienced double and even triple digit appreciation.
All in all, things are looking fairly good for the housing market here in the Ozarks.
