Hmm...interesting take on things. Time will tell whether the bailouts that Bush pushed through had any effect on stimulating the economy, other than allowing banks and insurance companies to spend money like water on frivolous things.

I know this might be a bit on the late side but I do want to say I have always been a McCain supporter and still am. But, Mr. McCain's campaign was not run in a matter where I could truely get behind it. First of all some of the running platform on taxes really irked me. McCain pulled a 180 on his voting record in hopes to get elected. He would not have reduced taxes his hands would have been tied. Next Palin was a joke in my eyes. She should have been better briefed prior to her interviews once it was noted she was out of her league. The campaign was blown!

Next on the bailout bill as it has been coined we did need it without a doubt but the treasury is squandering it. It should have been used to reestablish the secondary mortgage market via auction with loans to investors who bought the securities. Not 100% loans of course more like 70-80% and any losses would first come out of the investors hands. I am really disappointed in how our governing body has handled things to this point. Although I feel the world central banks are doing what they need to to try and bring us through this mess.

The only people to blame here are mortgage companies, banks and people who took on more debt than they could handle. I don't see much blame in Washington DC. This bailout is nothing but bad news for the American taxpayer, and also to people who were responsible in their borrowing practices.

<a href="http://blog.alexanderhiggins.com/2008/09/fight-the-18k-per-household-wall-street-bailout.html">Fight the Wall Street Bailout</a>

This bailout is nothing but bad news. There is no real crisis, the market sell of is a result of fear mongering by President Bush

The bill allows for foreign banks to dump all of their bad assets into <A HREF="http://blog.alexanderhiggins.com/2008/09/stop-the-bailout-its-for-foreign-banks-like-china-not-the-american-people.html">American banks</A>, who can in turn sell the debt to the treasury.

THE AMERICAN PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE PUT ON THE HOOK FOR WALL STREET, AND ESPECIALLY NOT FOR COMMUNIST NATIONS LIKE CHINA!
